Retention

Retention work begins with a clear view of how people use the product, then translates the behaviours that predict return into a better customer experience.

Find the behaviours that matter

Working closely with the data team, I analysed product usage patterns to identify retention indicators and opportunities to improve. That work informed targeted initiatives designed to strengthen engagement, improve the user experience, and ultimately increase customer lifetime value.

Turn signals into actions

Amplitude's Compass feature was used to identify the actions most strongly correlated with new-user retention. Those high-signal actions became proxy metrics: practical behaviours to improve because they were connected to users staying and finding value.

Retention becomes actionable when teams focus on the customer actions that precede it—not the lagging metric alone.
